A vendor is only a good fit if their operating behavior still looks trustworthy after the sales polish wears off.

Once your own workflow is visible, vendor evaluation gets much easier. You stop shopping for vibes and start inspecting whether another team can meet your standards, absorb ordinary friction, and stay usable when campaigns get messier than the proposal implied.

  1. Month 1: confirm quality, communication clarity, and whether standards are actually visible.
  2. Month 2: add enough volume to expose coordination weaknesses.
  3. Month 3: evaluate whether the reporting and exception handling fit your real client-delivery rhythm.

  • sales confidence that outruns process clarity
  • reporting that looks complete but is hard to reuse with clients
  • quality that seems fine only at toy-volume order counts
  • communication that becomes blurrier as questions get more specific
